Let's face it; travelling long haul is not comfortable at the best of times. While you might be desperate to get to your Sydney apartments furnished as quickly as possible, it will take you the best part of a day or more sitting on an airplane.
But is it worth the extra to go business class on long haul? The price gap is pretty steep and the high premiums are unaffordable to many budgets. But if you have the money to pay the extra, it is worth dipping into your pockets for it.
Some of the extras you get in business class are nice to have but not critical. Champagne, proper china, fine dining and a few extra films are great, and they do make a difference to your journey but they are probably not worth it alone.
It is the seating that really makes a difference, as most airlines today have seats which recline into completely flat beds. This is where the premium really starts to seem worthwhile as you can actually get a decent night's sleep and stretch your legs a little.
By flying business class you can get off a long flight relatively refreshed and you can start your holiday or business trip straightaway without being jet lagged for a few days, so in this respect it is definitely worth the money.
