If you are travelling to Australia in the near future, you should remember that it enjoys a huge range of climates and plan your trip accordingly.
Some of this vast country is pure desert where you would not last long without a Water Cooler; whereas other areas are lush rainforest, full of life. This makes packing for a trip quite tough at times, especially if you are visiting several areas.
Much of the country is covered by desert, especially the interior of Australia and if you are planning on seeing any of the sites in these areas, such as Ayers Rock, you need to plan your trip in advance and make sure that you take plenty of sunscreen and water as well as light clothes and hats which will help to protect you from the sun.
The desert areas are not to be taken lightly as mistakes could mean death and you need to follow all official advice carefully to ensure that you stay safe.
The South east coast is more temperate, with warm summers and mild winters, although remember that the summer is the opposite in the UK and they enjoy Christmas day in the sun! There are some excellent beach resorts in this region too, so make sure that you pack a variety of clothes for your sightseeing and beach holiday.
